My Guardian Grandpa

Sixteen-year-old Judy was surprised to find her grandfather, Levi, at her door one day.

That's because he died when she was a baby.

MY GUARDIAN GRANDPA is a comic strip about a girl and a guardian angel with a lot to learn from each other.

My “bachelor party” was a 6-hour cafe drawing session with a couple illustrators at Diesel Cafe in Somerville. Awesome!

Appropriately enough, tonight I drew the last four strips of the current My Guardian Grandpa storyline, “Grandma and Grandpa’s Wedding!”

From research to pencil to ink, these are the most complex comic strips I’ve ever produced. Read “Grandma & Grandpa’s Wedding” now until April 5th in the My Guardian Grandpa comic strip.

Just stumbled upon this shot of my drawing cubicle from in the illustration studio from my senior year at UMass Dartmouth. Seven years went fast.

The painting on the left is interesting. It unknowingly forecasts Judy and Levi. The illustration pre-dates My Guardian Grandpa by about two years, having been painted in the fall of 2006.
